I'm working on moving from nonfiction to fiction. It's tougher than I thought.
Last week I finished a rewrite of my new novel, "A Killer Like Me." My agent and I agreed the lead character, a homicide detective from New Orleans needed to be a little more sympathetic. Scott Gould of RLR Associates has the book out to several big publishers. I have my fingers crossed.
Plus, I'm working on a new novel, "Turkish Jade."

Saw your note about wanting to write fiction. I spend almost 30 years as a cancer nurse here in Baton Rouge, but could never get writing off my mind.I am working on a collection of short stories that started out as non-fiction. Found out that I, apparently, like to "fluff up" or just down right lie when I think the stories need something more. You certainly are way ahead of me in the writing game, but I did want to drop you a line and give you encouragement.............can we ever have too much?
